Very beautiful.
How much liquid does it hold?

Re: NEW CHAPTER! Show Off Your Pots and Cups XV
It is a little guinomi. I'd say around 5-6 cl. It holds the content of my 7.5cl teapot filled with puerh leaves.
I would have loved it to come in a bigger size, although I doubt I would have been able to afford it...

Not sure about maker, but its from the 00s or 10s. I have seen a lot of these. It is a mass production piece with a decal pattern.GREENWOODSTUDIO wrote:Just bought this one from a little vintage shop on Etsy, any one know anything about it, maker, age, etc?

Here's my daughter's new Tea ware. I believe it is Zisha, but I'm not sure what type. Any ideas?

Here is an awesome new cup made by Shawn at Greenwood Studio. The glaze is really wonderful. The crackles in it will really look great when it starts to darken.

Looks like stone, like an ancient mortar pecked and ground and formed into the shape over centuries of use. Very cool.
How does it feel to the hand--smooth or rough?

I don't want to say rough, but it's not smooth. Does that make any sense?debunix wrote:Looks like stone, like an ancient mortar pecked and ground and formed into the shape over centuries of use. Very cool.

I have a 1,200 year old cup and they look like relatives. This cup has an incredible feel to it.

That does make sense. Again thinking of an ancient stone mortar--thinking here of the pockmarked rocks you sometimes see in california parks, used by native people to grind acorn meal-- that are depressions smoothed by use but not slick and polished. That would feel excellent in the hand.

Debunix, that is a perfect description of its texture and look.
Michael, thank you so much! It's really a wonderful piece. I'm using it now.

I have to agree--it's very unique, and looks like it's been carved out of granite! Very nice piece ....
