That's my experience too, actually--though I haven't brewed any black or pu-erh teas in it, it's lovely for both greens and oolongs. Unlike my ROCK, which as much as I love it, can get very hot to the touch.
Is anyone besides me noticing their sou-shun is picking up tea-crackles really fast? All it took was one cup of tea, and bam! Golden lines across the bottom--it's been very interesting to watch.
