I agree, and often match my cup size to my pot size. LOVE those turquoise cups (*jealousies*jealousies*) and also the little white faircup.heavydoom wrote:this is the thing, i got 4 of them blue things for the simple fact that i am the sole tea drinker at my house. so why not just pour one tea pot into one huge cup like that? why frigging not, eh? a 10 cl tea pot will fill that sucker half way up and a bit. when i have guests over, then i will use my smaller cups and share the tea wealth with my honoured guests.
a picture shall be forthcoming with the tea inside those turquoise beauties!

yes. i actually asked stephane the same question and he told me that teaparker told him that that duanni is actually better for green tea. so i guess that duanni is good for both green tea and cooked pu erh.olivierco wrote:Duanni for cooked puer?heavydoom wrote:
the singular pot in the upper row, the yellow one, i just got that one from s. erler and have not used it yet but i was going to use it for my green teas since that was what erler suggested. i may end up using that one for green pu erh. i love that pot the most.

But Duanni, originally mixed clay of many. Very powerful in absorbing water and aroma. For cooked Puerh, it will reduce a foul odor, but could be colored with tea juices on such light colored surface.
But tea opinion relys on personal and that's how it should work.
I am curious about the result as well.
Plus, is it a real Duanni

i personally don't have a visual problem with dark stains of cooked pu erh staining any duanni pots. it adds to the character of the pot, it's like weathered cedar/wood/oak. i saw one dude's inside of a pot which he only used cooked pu erh for, it was pitch black from aeons of pu erh usage. lovely.chrl42 wrote:Hehe, I don't wanna stir a debate.olivierco wrote:Thanks for the precision.heavydoom wrote:yes. i actually asked stephane the same question and he told me that teaparker told him that that duanni is actually better for green tea. so i guess that duanni is good for both green tea and cooked pu erh.olivierco wrote:Duanni for cooked puer?heavydoom wrote:
