Some wil probably recognize this Hohin from Magokorodo's selection. This is one of the 10 that were comissionned to the Shunko-enn kiln. This style of Bizen is called Hidasuki.

It is beautifully designed. Perfect pour, just the right size for me.

The effect on the tea is similar to a good banko clay.

Very interesting I find the uchida hohin above preforms very similar to banko clay as well, despite it being very different in texture and color.
looks like a great piece of art you have there.

Beautiful new kyusu-s and hobin-s!

Here is a glimpse of of of several newbs recently purchased. It is a Kashun Hagi kyusu (so are the small yunomi-s and yuzamashi). I have been using it for asa to fuka. More photos to come.

great set chip. I have everything pictured except the yuzamashi it's on my want list. those cups get a LOT of use around my house.

Strangely, I haven't many pictures of my faithful kyusu; but I dug up this one. It is from Den's Tea; I love the birch tree bark patterning, and petite size. It's quite the ocha workhorse, brewing gyokuro, sencha, and bancha alike for the last year or so.

Itome teapot by Gyokko, holds 5.4 ounces very similar to the one I got for brewing Japanese Oolong, though this one has a ceramesh screen.
As expected working with Toru on this order was a very pleasant experience.

One of my favorite kyusu is my Seiho butterfly:

I really like this style. Where do you suggest I might be able to shop for kyusus with such beautiful clean lines?

Currently I am the proud owner of one petwer kyusu and a cheaper porcelain version. Never dealt with unglazed kyusus as I wasn't sure if this means that I would have to stick to one type of tea for the unglazed type of pot. Any advice will be appreciated!

Toru is very helpful and may be able to obtain a Seiho that he does not currently have. Although he has a lot of nice kyusu-s!
