This taste a bit like Longjing or the typical Chinese Green tea taste. Has good sweet aftertaste. Very refreshing. Yum yum...

A bag of this is sitting in the TeaFridge, don't think I ever had this one before.

My friend picked some of this up for me when she was in Japan. It really is a very balanced bitter-sweet asamushi. Might be tempted to order some in the future, in between my Yuuki and O-Cha orders.

Just now, about one hour after lunch,
I drink some 2010 YangXianXueYa. Not long before 2011's will come out :D

Image

It might also be called YangXian Snow Leaf.
YangXian is the old name for Yixing but I am not sure if there is another accepted and established english name for this tea. If you know I'd be glad to learn.

Today I drink it from a simple glass.

Was trying out yame gyokuro tokujo. Quite nice taste, but somehow i like first infusion a lot more than all others. Still experimenting on water/leaf ratio and infusion time.

That's how it looks like after 6 infusions =)

Today, about one hour after lunch I had some BiLuoChun. Not the best grade, but excellent aroma, and I don't think I can blame that purely on my cup.

Image

I also had a little snack with the tea this time. I feel like the strawberries brought out the fruity note of the BiLuoChun more, rather than overpowering it.

Den's Tea Fukamushi-Sencha Maki. My first tea order arrived!

Funny, when I was unpacking my order and noticed two kyusu I thought they had made a mistake because I only ordered one (the white premium sencha teapot). Then I noticed Den's was actually running a promotion offering a free kyusu with purchase of $50. So I've gone from brewing my sencha in a French press to being a multiple-kyusu owner overnight! :)
It works out well, because the 'free' kyusu holds two cups of tea so might be more practical some days.

Anyhow, the tea is rich, mild, full of umami, and a delightful true green colour.

Yukata Midori Limited Edition from O-cha, quite interesting and quite nice. First infusion was an Eye opener brewed it slightly warmer and it had such a unique taste.
