Correct me if I'm wrong, but sometimes the glass pool is done simply by dumping some glass into the bottom of the cup or bowl. I know it is also possible to do it with proper glazes (like shyrabbit just said).woozl wrote: I am curious if any any of you potters know how the "glass pool" can happen?

GREAT Wan Woozl!!!
OK, I posted this in the new Hagi topic, but I want to post it here as well since I have wanted to post the Kyusu and cups for almost 8 months.
Created by Noutomi Susumu. I loved them at first sight, so different and unique. Truly not going to please everyone, but that is part of the beauty of Hagi. Love the Hagi you desire and desire the Hagi you love.

Yeah, and I do not think the kyusu/cups spent much time if any on a wheel.robbie_olive wrote:Very beautiful kyusu and wan, Chip.....very Hagi, very wabi-sabi!

Speaking of Noutumi Susumu, he is generally not inexpensive. A Guinomi or Yunomi can easily run $165. Yet inexplicably these were $56. I would call them multi purose Wan, and are a tad over 4.5 inches wide.

A Hagi Tea Cup and Saucer set of 6. But I am not sure if these are hagi at all.... 50 cc each, aren't they too small?
Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
I have never seen a matching saucer set like that, very cool. I like the deepness of the saucers. Too small for Hagi or too small for drinking from??

Seriously, I'm beginning to regret not realizing the value of a Houhin sooner in my Japanese greens journey.Chip wrote:HA ... seconds ago I said ...
