Here is my first Tea Set

Very nice and congrats! I am quite partial to dragons and teaware. I hope it serves you well.

My Hagi set is finally complete again.....after the loss of a Yuzamashi a few months ago it was time to get a replacement! So here is my Hagi ware:


I have to say that I like the imperfections of much of the Japanese pottery.....I feel in the west we strive to much for perfection and want everything to be symetrical and perfect. If something is perfect there is no room for growth, change or interpretation......well, thats just my two cents......

Thanks for your 2 cents, and thanks for sharing your lovely Hagi "set" with us. Hagi has been calling my name lately ... must resist, wait, do I???

Another travel set from Hankook Teas - This one even smaller at a little under 2oz.

I guess I can't enter this in the GAIWAN COMPETITION, huh Chip?

Ummm, no!. Well, then there are the "hybrid" gaiwan as well (forget what they are called). These almost have their own classification, half pot, half gaiwan.

Perhaps one of the conciliatory categories, but I am not sure. Give me a few days to consider, unless you happen to have an extra one ... for my immediate consideration.

But the white one is really very nice. They did not offer that when I got 4 different travel sets from them last Spring. I do not see it on the site either.
