This morning it is so nice to enjoy some matcha.
So soothing, and gently the tea,
works its wonders
inside me.

Cheers to you - and may you find that your tea today,
works some magic in you.

Wow B! :D
Totally cool post!!!!
I LOVE it!!!
Wow. So cool.
Koicha - hard core (just my own inexperienced, chawan-learner response  ).
I haven't yet acclimated myself or gotten hooked on koi (or even learned how to prepare it properly  ).
Love that 1st chawan - again, a distinct sense of vast landscape on the inside, far wall. Gorgeous.
Two stunning chawan. Nice!
ps - been thinking of you all day - see teaday post.
Cheers.

Hamada Shoji said something to the effect that it took him 10 years to learn how to throw and another 20 to forget what he'd learned.

Thanks for all your positive comments you have really made me feel welcome on this site. Do you have a hishaku/bamboo ladle? it makes measuring water easy use about a 1/4 if a ladle to your koicha and gently stir with a whisk. make sure your using your best matcha as well or thing will get very bitter very quick. No fun! it's best to make enough to share as well. try eating wagashi before hand or something sweet but non lingering (candied fruits like pineapple or crystalized ginger).

Breathing in,
I am aware of your presence,
Breathing out,
I bow respectfully and gratefully in honor of the wisdoms you have shared.

Thank you Blairswh..., Ronin, bonjiri, GG, Adam for your truly amazing posts.

Blairswh... - I continue to ponder your words and invitations. :D I attempted a photo of matcha this morning with the orchid my sweetheart gave me for valentine's day - my apologies, but the shot was too blurry to share.
Blairswh..., R, and b - I am touched, inspired, and calmed as I consider the way of zen in tea. Thank you. Such wonderful and welcome reminders.

GG - your photography is poetry to me. I just love that shot. I'll be coming back here to revisit it, in hopes that my spirit will again take flight as it did in experiencing it today. Thank you - deeply - Thank you.

Adam - I just love your sharing, your process, the glimpse into your own special 'Adam-noyu'. Wonderful, thank you.

Cheers.

Adam, just reading again (and viewing again GG ),
I had missed before that you were just tasting the Wakamatsu for the 1st time.
That's my favorite matcha.
Doesn't it rock?!

Cheers.
