Sadly, if we had a fundraiser 'around these here parts' featurin' guinomi, they wouldn't make any money because most of the people would be trying to figure out how to put mashed potatoes and meat into those tiny contraptions!
Hope all is well when you open the kiln.

Re: cory Lum (bonjiri) ceramics, photographs & chadogu

getting back into firing saggars in high fire. a lid is placed over this and fired in the kiln.
amazing results with using various natural combustible materials
this photo is over 8 years ago. used various malcolm davis shinos and juiced soda ash intensive shino glazes for a 'stickum'.
Re: cory Lum (bonjiri) ceramics, photographs & chadogu
Wow, what types of amazing results from using these natural materials? Those dendrobium orchids look better than I would have imagined dried!
They are a must when creating exotic floral designs.

this is a sample piece, 8 years old. fired in red flowers, malcolm davis shino.
Re: cory Lum (bonjiri) ceramics, photographs & chadogu
i think the joke goes like this: the young potter said to the master how many lays does it take to fire a kiln with a saggar ? and the master replied as many lays as i can get.bonjiri wrote:
