I see what you mean.... wow, and I thought I might have messed up the first infusion but it was incredible.
Wow... way to go Kame!

Moved onto Hosen from Ippodo, just came in the mail today. Absolutely Sublime.

Sadly and interestingly ... I brewed up the last of the O-Cha 7132 today, mixed with some Hosen from Ippodo to make a full pot. Came out spectacular!
Now, no more 7132 til ... ?

Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Afternoon session w/ Yuuki's sencha Tenryu Misakubo. To my taste, this sencha is not quite as interesting as their Sayamakaori or O-Cha's 7132, but it's still a very well balanced asamushi. Quite "traditional", I'd say.
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Ippodo's Hosen sencha again today, I think my taste is slightly skewed from something I had earlier, as I knew I was risking it with tea as even water tasted off.
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Sencha hosen from ippodo yet again, seems a bit more temperamental than I thought it would be, either that or something is slightly off with my taste buds.
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Sencha karigane from Hibiki-an. Sweet and mellow flavor. Very relaxing.
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Lu Xue Ya snow bud. The new batch seems to have less of the downy buds, and the "tea high" effect seems somewhat softened... But still a wonderful green tea. Great veggie/chicken broth taste, with nice green tea sweetness.

Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Ippodo's Kaboku in my cup this morning. Really wish I tried Ippodo earlier as I am loving everything I have had from them so far. Brewed both as per ippodo's reccomendation in an unheated kyusu or around 159 in a heated kyusu and enjoyed 5 thick and flavourful steeps.
I thought the reccomendation to brew 10g to 210ml was perhaps a way to sell more tea but I have really found the benefit in this way of brewing. The first steep is actually very similar to brewing 1:1 90 sec for the first steep but every subsequent steep is much stronger in comparison.
Absolutely delicious for the price.

Adagio's Jasmine Yin Hao (#9) warms my mug; it tastes as good as it smells.

Just received the silver strand "early Spring '11" Yunnan green from YS and highly enjoy it: fresh, bitter with underlying sweet notes.
Excellent product for a low price: $6.50 for 100g. I am very satisfied with this every day tea.
