that thing ranks right up there in my opinion as the sorapot. Which i've been curious if anyone here has been tempted or has bought. I can't decide whether or not I like it as a teapot or if it's just a crazy piece of kitchen hardware for the socialite new yorker crowd.

Since getting divorced, my I wants have been directed to more practical areas like, "wouldn't it be nice if I had a place to put my books," and "I'd like to have something to dry off with when I get out of the shower," or...well, it's a very long list. But I think I want this:

Space...you got taste. I normally pass on anything with a pattern, but that is a gorgeous piece. I want it, too. Maybe after I score a good Seigan chawan...

You'd need a special transmogrifier to make it about 10 times bigger, but, yeah... nice bourdaloue!

Seriously though, I love yusamashi. The shape of this one is just beautiful. Plus - an insect that looks like it might be a ladybug. How cool is that?

Yes, I also love these details of nature that you keep finding in Japanese teaware. They are like minor masterpieces. The sense of the seasons and the world of nature in harmony with people is just great. I always like it when you point these things out. Thanks.
