good nose. little on the floral side and lemony. Yiwu characters at the back, elegant and subtle. Leaves are meaty, hairy and strong. Slow emerging qi, balance. Good for aging.Drax wrote:Yeah, how do they taste? Expensive isn't bad if it's worth the expense, right?TIM wrote:Have you try them before? Planning on ordering some. I'm with Salsero... what's the name of the cakes and where did you come across them?
Now that I think about it, maybe you already gave us the name. I seem to recall a cake called "Yunnan Ancient Puerh Tree Ex Pen Sive". This cake does tend to be pricier than its less sanitary cousin - "Yunnan Ancient Puerh Tree Wi Th Ha Ir In Si De"

"True Taste Puerh" is the series name. "Main Yiwu Mountain" is the bottom one. Which is under $100 retail. Top one "Classic Character Memorial Cake" is around $75. Both are Taiwanese commissioned cakes.

From the famed producer, Du Wi Chi Dim Ahn Hao, which, not coincidentally, is also the name of my law firm.

Hey Tom!TomVerlain wrote:really nice setup Apostle - if you need help with the sampling, we could probably take time out of our busy days to help.
BTW - How does anyone tell the date on those bricks ? I don't recognize any numbers on the one I have -
Thanks for the offer! Having some true tea lovers around would certainly help me step my game up a notch. I see that you are located, pretty much on the diagonally, opposite side of the continent to me...can you be here by 3:00?
