I think they use a hybrid porcelain body as a regular porcelain body at that size and tempreture is prone to distort as well as crack due to thermal shock.

thank you !

i have some coming in about 2 weeks or so. smaller. tried staining the crackle/crazing w/ iron oxide per michael coffee's recommendation.

nice ! i love the red crackle
