I love to go to garage sales but dont usually find anything tea related. Yesterday was a nice suprise. The ginger jar is not specifically tea related but i will probably use it to store opened pu, so i figure it counts.
Here is this nice little teacup (or maybe sake cup turned into teacup) $1

Here is a pic of the ginger jar. The lid has been super glued back together, at some point it was broken in half, but otherwise, its in great shape, stamped with "Made in Japan" on the bottom I bought it thinking it was a tea jar, but then i did a little internet research, Paid $4

A second cup traveled with the rainbow curtain, a more subtle shino that is very hard to do justice with through the camera
And of course more photos of it in the shyrabbit topic
here.

You either just relocated your camera ( or one of its cords), or your TAD acted up again, either way I have quite enjoyed your recent purchases!

TAD flare. I've been admiring the work of several potters for many months to a couple of years now, waiting for just the right piece, and a couple of those popped up in short succession on etsy. And while obsessing over those pieces, I spent more time than usual on etsy with unsurprising results.
It's probably a good thing that Mago's eBay site was quiet for Golden Week while the TAD was relapsing.

I'm not sure who first posted something here that sent me off to hunt down Ray Morales' etsy shop, but it's been on my radar for a good while now. Mostly the things that were wows were larger than I regularly use, but then this drippy dreamy cup came along....
Drippy
Dreamy
Dreamy drippies
and not too big. Swoon.

Wow, a stunning piece and stunning pictures! I remember seeing that cup in his shop, and not being sure I liked the vivid red against the paler aqua--but boy, these pictures have definitely changed my mind.
