unfortunately most ripe tea of recent years have gone the way of shou...
best ripe with good aroma and taste is the menghai and some zhongcha brand from the 90s
even the 98 zhongcha brand 7572 ripe I tried few days back isnt that impressive

Mengku ripe puerhs are really good. Some even like them better than ripes from Haiwan tea factory.

Isn't that crane the xiaguan symbol? some really young xiaguans tend to run on the amber side early... maybe that's what's going on here?
