Oh I'm so sorry, it is working on several browsers here. Well I will say they are expensive and the shipping is outrageous and the last time I had a huge problem with customs and ended up having to pay a customs fee on top of the amount I already paid just to get my package.

Yes, if it were easy I would also own a silver and light green, and maybe the red ... or the fuchsia. Alas if we only lived in Paris!!

Victoria, I was determind to find those canisters! I did -- but don't know what button I pushed was the one that finally worked! However, I bookmarked it, so I'll be able to check them out later.

That website is really unfriendly to the user, isn't it? Oh, well, maybe if I spoke French, it might be easier. Thanks for the info that enabled me to find what I was looking for. :)

It is one of the worst to navigate. Maybe Olivier will send them a stern email of complaint in French for us. Or perhaps he already has, I know he dislikes the format too. So what is your of choice??

Oh man, I want I WANT! I have a friend that lives there. Maybe I should have her pick up a few canisters and ship them to me as "gifts?"

(yeah right, last thing I need is even MORE canisters!)

Right now i dont have any tea canister, though i would really like some. I do have some of the sample tins from uptons that i use to keep smaller amounts of tea handy and organized. But for larger amounts of tea, right now they stay in the bags they came in. Hopefully soon i will have some real canisers.

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship...I rearrange other people's stuff when they're not looking.

(and yes, I do use canisters. I use those Japanese thingies with double lids, because they're reasonably airtight and I love the washi paper on the outside of them)

I really need to get a camera!

Oh, Victoria! I love your canisters. Where in the world did you get the one with the pic of the man on the right? I want one!

 Seriously, I think the Washi tins are like a metaphor for Japanese tea in general. I liken the whole japanese tea scene as precise in virtually every facet. Who else wraps their tins so precisely and in such a manner that the tiny detail matches up perfectly.

I view japanese tea similarly ...

I just remembered my Mum has an old Japanese metal tin, laquered orange with two flying cranes on it. I was always aligning the cranes' legs when I was a kid(since their lower legs and feet were on the tin, and the rest of the bird on the lid).

I've asked her to let me have the tin when she dies ^^
