LOVE those dragon cups. Don't tell me, you found them in some "little shop" around there?

Anytime I hear about Iannon's teaware buys, I hear that soccer announcer proclaiming, "SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE!"
Nice finds Iannon!
That is quite an incredible chawan, Cory!

Well here is my new Banko kyusu. I fell in love with this kyusu 2 years ago!! It was posted by Salsero, and I never quite got over it. At the time I wrote to Artistic Nippon to see if by chance there was another. At that time he said no, I guess it was deeply stored away. After numerous attempts to get Salsero to sell me his, I finally gave up and just began looking for a simiilar light or "white" kyusu.

Recently when I tasked Toru at Artistic Nippon to obtain the white Kikumaru kyusu as reported in my Tale of Two Kyusu thread, he remembered the vintage Banko. Now I own this beauty and I can see why Salsero did not want to part with his. It is lovely indeed. Very unique and beautiful, I can hardly believe I actually own it. Shown here with the sweet double walled cup by Petr Novak. A great match.

Lovely. I remember the thread, because I fell in love with the other kyusu he posted, which was a lovely shade of darker cream. Probably should have also written Toru asking for one.

A Mlesna Lanka porcelain teapot I recently found:

I found this little teapot at Goodwill and just fell in love with it. I paid $6 for it and I have no idea if its worth it or not. I haven't been able to find much info on it except on the Mlesna website where it seems they ship tea packaged in these pots directly from Sri Lanka. I just like it because it's pretty and intersting, but I'd love to know more about it.
