Average annual humidity of Guangzhou, Shanghai, Kunming and Hong Kong, as measured in a puerh storage comparison study over a period of 3 years, are 79%, 80%, 68% and 85%. All these cities are good for puerh storage one way or another. I guess the 85% humidity level is pretty much for professional, not household. At 80% level, one can use a lot of caution.

IMHO Kunming stored teas are quite inferior, 68% is pretty low.

I have since aquired some of the "wet storage" cakes from puerhshop.com I found them all enjoyable. The Song Pin Hao was Billed as being the least Wet stored was actually the cake with the strongest storage taste of the three that I tried. Right now i'm Drinking the "Bahnzang King" Which tastes Like a slightly lower rent Heng Li Chang bulang from EOT. which isn't surprising since their both single estates from the same region and vintage. Its Really quite good once you get past the third infusion my tounge is tingling.

Having been introduced first to rather young sheng, I've come to realize that these traditionally-stored cakes are practically a different genre of puerh entirely. Yum! An acquired taste worth acquiring!

Nope. I am not related to the site at all. Didn't know the site stole the articles.

Things move fast in cyberland!
This is a great forum.

Oh, to be on topic, I have these samples and will chime in once I have brewed them.
Anyone else have 1st hand experience? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
