Re: Official what White/Yellow are you drinking right now?
Had a few great sessions recently with Yunnan silver needles. A bit less light and airy as the usually variety, less nutty. But more depth and punch, like just a touch of the puerh goodness was infused (from the same trees). I haven't had time to push past 4 infusions, but I was assured it will stand up to 20! We shall see...

Forgotten Balhyocha in Chawan by Adam Yusko, on Flickr
A Korean Balhyocha, I am 100% certain it is from Dao tea, but I am at a loss of which artist created it. But its going in for a long and repeated soak while I get some work done.

This thread gets so little attention!
My first loose tea was a jasmine, and over the years I've refined my tastes. I fell in love with jasmine silver needles, and last winter, after tasting samples from a variety of sources, settled on Rishi. It's a very relaxing tea to drink when settled in with a good book.

Official what White/Yellow are you drinking right now?
I started my day with Yin Zhen, light, fruity, pleasant. Those sessions are short enough that I am more likely to forget to post than with a 12-infusion puerh.

Ye fang bai cha, a fujian white tea from Norbu. Fruity and sweet, delicious.
Re: Official what White/Yellow are you drinking right now?
Enjoyed a bai cha from the best tea house. Very nice, potent aroma and lasted over many steeps. Mmmm.

I still have a little of the 2010 wild camellia buds from Norbu, and am having a particularly nice session with them this morning--floral, fruity, sweet, delicate--just right for a snuffly day with a cold coming on.

Re: Official what White/Yellow are you drinking right now?

A very interesting sample of 2012 White Longjing (Dragonwell) from West Lake. Can't put my finger on it yet. No green bean character or nutty flavor of a traditional Longjing. Have the citrus and high floral notes with umami of a Lion's peak. But it lasted only 3 brew.... New idea or just another marketing pitch?

Re: Official what White/Yellow are you drinking right now?
just had a big amount of bai hao jin zhen from Hong kong Jing e-shop http://www.jingteashop.com/pd-jing-tea- ... ea-bhy.cfm
...
unfortunately VERY disapointing
No taste at all left in the leaves. Hope they take it all back. Is that common with bai hao jin zhen this time of year? I know you don't get fresh spring taste BUT no taste!?

Sri Lanka silver tips tea. Known to a few who appreciate its subtle fragrance and full flavor.

Seven Cups's Bai Mu Dan—I'm trying others but keep going back to theirs, which, according to their site, is the Shui Jie variety. It's really juicy and refreshing and holds up to many steeps. Good price too.
Could anyone recommend a good Shou Mei?
