Ok, ok, here is mine (I was away from home, teaching). It is a pain to take pics of small features like this with my camera. So sorry if the quality is still not good enough to make you happy. Hopefully you've got a better idea already from Kyarazen's pic...

De nada.

Here's an exotic, courtesy of CT Lim (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
ROC era Bian Xi Shi from 阳羡惜阴室王 - Yang Xian Xi Yin Shi Wang (Wang Yin Chun). Rare and highly desired by top collectors! and at least 5 figure in cost.

Just last year, a nice piece Bian Yuan from the same maker/era closed at around 14k USD in Japan (i made a feeble bid at 6k though.. but there were many other bidders with much deeper pockets >.<).

In a Chinese Auction, this pot from Wang Yinchun brought RMB207,000!
Notice the different seals. Potters often used more than one set.

wa..my dream pot :(

Master Wang was a top ranked Zhuni master during the ROC..truly the greatest Zhuni product of the era..and look at that edge of the lid's 'teeth, where it's made to minimize the resistance of water when closing the lid...

mine too, except i would prefer the bian-yuan shape :D both are excellent shapes for chaozhou gongfucha, but if i own it, i probably wont use it.

recently i had been using zengchunan's CZ brewing modifications, which included a quick shake of the pot in cool water before dispensing.. and oops! the handle of one of my 60s shuiping's beginning to crack at at the joint to the pot body. waiting for it to break completely before i kintsugi it ;)

Some seller in Singapore told me, when they order from F1 in late 80´s these whole cartons , inside was often few pots from non-F1 , each box had some...
But this look like every group of workers had just one bottom seal and when they fired and packed them in carton boxes, you not get only pots from one group of workers but from few groups, it is possible ?

of course there are! but had been too busy, it always slipped my mind to update this thread...have had the permission of over ten collectors to share their pictures freely here.. 8)

here's a nice 60s Xianpiao, base seal "Nan-Mengchen" courtesy of James Yu again (he has such nice pots! i'm envious)

In principle the Xianpiao is a very nice pot to collect to study the clay change over time. The mould for such F1 Xianpiaos did not change at all from its first use in the early 1960s until end 70s. The only thing that varied was the clay that changed based on availability, and the corresponding bottom seal that is useful in dating the pot. you can easily recognize this shape and the lid shape, how it is flat around the knob area... everytime you chance upon a xianpiao with such a lid, either in 6 or 10 cup size.. high chance it is 70s or earlier if authentic.

in green label period (after '77), this old xianpiao mould was no longer used. the lid became bloated puffy like ROC style and no longer flat.

[quote="kyarazen"]Another rare item... courtesy of James Yu, Taiwan

this is probably 30-40s Handmade shuiping, probably zhuni? the lid is handmade. Wood fired

Image

Were wood fired pots only seen during the pre factory 1 days?
Love the texture on the clay, though :x
