I feel a little uncertain about this pot because I have read Duan ni clay is mixed. Does this mean mixed by a person or naturally? I am hesitant to buy Yixing clay, which was made by a person.
Most duanni, and especially inexpensive modern duanni, is quite porous and tends to mute flavors and aromas considerably when compared to hongni or higher fired zini. It would not be my choice for sheng puerh.
All Yixing clay is created by people. Yixing starts as rock ore and must be crushed to a fine powder before becoming clay. The vast majority of Yixing clays are mixed, as pure clay would be too fragile for teapots. When people talk of duanni being mixed, it's probably referring to clay of different particle sizes or even sand being mixed in to the clay. It's not an issue to worry about, but adding various chemicals to achieve a certain color may be.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary, tj.
I've got an ad-blocker on, so that might be part of it...?

I see the links and I find them annoying because it is unclear whether the links were inserted by the OP on purpose or by Adagio. In this case for instance this leads to the misleading impression that tj endorses Adagio's Yixings.

Firefox on linux here, they don't show up for me by default but if I allow viglink.com through no-script they do. If you've got any adblockers I'm sure these scummy link inserting systems are the first they kill. The most charitable thing I could say about this is there's a possibility that it's not specifically configured to make all our posts into Adagio ads, just to make our posts into ads in general and that Adagio just happens to be in business with Viglink both as an ad destination and an ad displayer... Either way though ugh

I get the need to show adverts but transforming user content into adverts crosses a line.

The 135ml XuBian pot they sold me has been working well. It came quickly and was fabulously packed.
I have been using it to make Bao Zhong with very pleasant results. It can even drain delicately balanced on a Cha Hai (fair cup).

This other 60ml yixing also looks pretty nice:

Thank you all for your considerate advice and information about Yixing clay. There seems to always be something to learn about Yixing teawears and tea. I will hold off on buying the duanni teapot.
I also see the links, which are being added to our posts.
BioHorn, the pot you bought is outstanding. The 60ml pot you posted about is beautiful as well, but a little too small for my liking. Maybe someone who likes the smaller pots will want to buy it.

Sounds familiar. Kyarazen had a beautiful F1 pot up on sale some days ago but it was 60ml, arrgh. Anyway, I have far more pots than I need at the moment and will wait for my next trip to China to pick up some more.

Yeah I've noticed them all over teachat the past couple days. I have adblock and it doesn't seem to do anything about them, probably because they're just like links people post.
I've seen such things like Yixing, tea, teapot, etc linked.
Edit: Haha got one. Weird that it didn't link yixing too...
Also, the "yixing" link takes you to Adagio's page with cast-iron teapots.

I oredered a jiangponi shui ping Yixing from this vendor and it's been working GREAT paired with aged sheng! I'm quite happy with it and will probably order another 1 or 2 when I can.
