Best young raw puerh cake

One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.

Tea Urchin's tea is good, generally high quality. Sometimes overpriced.

I enjoy their 2014 Xikong (great dark chocolate notes, interesting aroma, kinda expensive for its average longevity), 2006 Shun Shui Yiwu (interesting tea drunk/somatic experience while and after drinking), and their 2012 GFZ (though it is not available).

I have also had 2015 Dark Forest (not a very good green tea), 2014 Lao Man E (Good but not very dynamic (taste experience remains the same over one session)), 2014 Nahan (boring), 2014 Bulang Secret Garden (Good, but twice as expensive as some Yunnan Sourcing tea which offers a similar drinking experience), 2014 Yiwu Beauty (good but not what I look for in a cup of tea (lots of high/green notes)), 2011 Pasha (thought it was overpriced when it was 90 something dollars now it is $153...nutty with short longevity and a lack interesting things going on).

I would second that! TU is worth exploring.

The 2011 Mangzhi by Mr Gao offered by TU was very good. I was very impressed by that tea and also by its price at the time. Come 2015 the tea is no longer available and the 2011 price would be considered a bargain. This is a common storyline of puerh tea.

When you talk to Eugene you know that the man is passionate about tea. However there is varying quality in the tea lineup. It is not easy to manage and maintain high quality with multiple projects when you are taking on so many. With certain aspects of TU I am reminded of XZH. Both companies have owners that love tea. Both are highly ambitious from looking at how quickly their tea lineup has grown. As you expand your empire the road can get bumpy along the way.

Tea Urchin, White2Tea and Crimson Lotus are reliable, quality tea sellers.
W2T and Crimson Lotus have very nice choices (at varying price points) in their 2015 collections. Some of my TU favorites are GFZ, Manzhuan, XiKong, Wan Gong, and Miles Birthday.

They all have online websites. Namely:

http://teaurchin.com/

http://crimsonlotustea.com/

http://www.white2tea.com/tea-shop/

To answer your literal question: order from their websites.

But I assume by "how do you suggest to buy" you mean which teas would I order from TU, CL W2T.

Please let me know if I am wrong.

I have had only a few teas from Crimson Lotus and I was not impressed by them. Someone else can recommend teas from CL.

I would not buy most of W2T teas I have tried. I like the 2015 Poundcake and 54-46. HK Style and Naka are okay but do not do much for me.

I would suggest for TU:

Zhang Jia Wan 2012 Spring
http://teaurchin.com/shop-for-tea/puer/ ... pring.html

Bulang Beauty 2014 Spring
http://teaurchin.com/shop-for-tea/puer/ ... pring.html

Yiwu Beauty 2014 Spring
http://teaurchin.com/shop-for-tea/puer/ ... pring.html

Lao Man E 2014 Spring
http://teaurchin.com/shop-for-tea/puer/ ... pring.html

Xi Kong 2014 Spring
http://teaurchin.com/shop-for-tea/puer/ ... pring.html

顺世 Yiwu 2006 Spring
http://teaurchin.com/shop-for-tea/puer/ ... 006-s.html

Thank you!!!

I like If you're reading is 2 late about white2tea.
Very difficult approach but cool!
Start with bitter liqueur, dry mouth, but the aftertaste in long and sweet!
The price good!

Do you try it?

Yes, I have actually had a couple sessions with it.

Personally, I found it too green and somewhat cooling, without a full body or lasting somatic effect on my body (body feeling).

Yes it's too green and aggressive!
But I think:
if the tea is bitter but have bitter aftertaste...it's good tea

That's the opposite of what's good.

Well that's personal taste, but I have read many times that if the tea has a srtong aftertaste despite being bitter it would be a good option to age.
