Everyone is posting such beautiful pictures - I want to try now!

Chocolate is my vice! My motto, "Why have fruit when you can have chocolate?" (mostly when discussing ice cream but it works for pie too)...

This morning I had assam medley again (tryin to work my way through my tea), now I'm having an English Traditional Decaf from Twinnings....

Have a great Tea Day!

Yep! It is great having photos in TD, thanx to the contributors. I think about throwing my hat in the ring as well.

Houryoko fukamushi...this is BOLD. It is sweet, but has an astringent kick compared to other fukamushi shincha I have had...but it is similar to Maki in this regard which makes a lot of sense. I may cut back on the leaf or time or even temp and see what is revealed next time.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Pretty cup & saucer, Katrina. Like your jade plant, too. It's the only plant I've ever been able to keep alive.

Me too! I thought one would arrive at least. Plus, 4 times a day it could arrive. One is coming USPS, one FedEx and one DHL. The fedex guys come to the building twice a day, but now it is 15 minutes past last delivery.

Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Hummus is good w/broccoli, too. Yummy! :D *goes to find grocery list*
Cooked or raw broccoli? I love hummus! I had to do some grocery shopping at Wegman's today and made the mistake of going past their olive bar. There were at least 4 different flavors of hummus there. I ended up with a small scoop of Lemon Dill, Roasted Garlic, and Red Pepper hummus all in different containers.

Beyond hummus, my first food vice is cheese. I love cheese, especially feta, sharp cheddar, and smoked cheeses. My second vice, which follows pretty far behind the first, is crunchy, salty things that are mostly pretzels, crackers, or veggie chips, but never normal potato chips. I can't stand those. I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I actually have an unopened box of chocolates from Valentine's Day still. Dark chocolate is good on occasion, but cakes, cookies, donuts, and candy are not really my things.

Today I had two mugs of Peach Oolong with a cinnamon stick at work. A few minutes after I got home, my Adagio order was delivered! I made some Apricot Honeybush to share with Mom for dinner. She had a honeybush teabag that she really liked, so she thought the tea was pretty good. Right now, I have plain Honeybush and will probably try the Vanilla one before I go to sleep. The plain Honeybush is awesome. It is naturally sweet with a pleasant floral, fruity flavor.

Raw broccoli & cauliflower, too. Basically any raw veggies.

Finally got to have some tea today. Gyokuro superior or supreme or premier or something. Eh, I don't care what it's called, just that it tastes good. And it does, so I' finally happy.

My sister-in-law gave me an amazing homemade hummus recipe with lemon, garlic, and shredded carrots. Mmmm.... We like to put it in wraps with shredded or julienned carrots, green peppers, cukes, and sliced apples. (Apples are fantastic with hummus.) Such an easy, healthy dinner.

Broccoli sounds great too. Thanks for the suggestion!

Oooh, you have a catty streak, girl!

Love the Jade Plant and the cup. You guys are giving me the hots for some of these girly cups. What's the best way to get them without having to go to brick and mortar stores - ebay? We have a little town about half an hour south that is all antique stores... should I look there? I have to go down there in a week or two anyway to meet with some huh ... rural clients. Love navigating those dirty roads.

Heirloom Tea Flowers again this evening. Try 'em, you will like 'em. They are simply the flowers from old tea trees...nothing else.

Mmmmm snacks... nice subject.

I tend to go in cycles... was terribly hooked on salty crunchies, particularly crackers like Cheese-its and pretzels with peanutbutter inside. I gained about 10 lbs on that... and so I cut it out, totally. I still crave snacks, mostly salty, so I switched to more protein-based snacks like cheese and lean whole cuts of beef jerky. I made my own jerky in the oven for a while, and it is delicious. My current snack option is usually string cheese.

In my cup today has been... lapsang souchong mixed with assam melody... had some before work and again after work. While actually AT work, I had a nice adagio blend called Cranberry zinger, with a dash of Wedding cake to sweeten it up... made a wonderful iced tea blend.

With dinner and beyond, I've been drinking a blend called Fuzzier Naval... light peach and orange with some blood-orange... mmmm. Delicious.

have a great tea day...

Sarah
***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Sorry, Sal, couldn't resist. I figure it's only a matter of time before I'm a pu'erh fan so I have to get my digs in now.

I got most of my girly cups from my grandmother's house when she passed. I think that's primarily why I enjoy using them. I think antique shops and estate sales are a great way to go. eBay can have some good things, but I like to really get a sense of the weight and detail of the cups that can be hard to assess online. BUT, seeing V's black and white cup is making it hard for me to resist the call of eBay!

Is that from ebay? I esp like your wildly floral cup today.
