I'm pretty on top of cleaning my teaware. Clay pots get rinsed with hot water immediately. Cups get washed relatively promptly. Mugs do go in the dishwasher but never my china. I rarely descale my tea kettle though and my water is on the hard side so I should be a bit more consistent about that.

A Malawi black today.

This morning...Adagio Golden Yunnan...maybe if I drank this more often it would become habit forming. I don't love it but there is something compelling about it.

Hatsumi O-Cha currently. This is not an everyday sencha for me...it is perfect around once every 3 days.

TeaWare cleaning...stalagmites form in my kettle in a week, when they are an inch or so long...or 2 weeks...which ever comes first, I descale it with vinegar. Pretty hard water here, perhaps I would have better tea if I bought water, but it bothers me to think about buying water. I have a well by the way. The water is high in menerals and tastes great out of the faucet.

Glasses and other teaware gets daily "finger washing" and will get descaled with the vinegar from my kettle every 2 weeks. Of course porous teaware just gets thorough rinsing daily.

Hard to tell which I like better.
:)

Having one of my faves from the oolong box pass -
Iron Goddess King - really a nice green oolong.
This cracked me up, but they are clearly opposites.

Every time this comes up, I always think about the original Star Trek episode with the two guys who hated each other, traveling across the universe trying to kill each other...all because their black and white faces were opposite...one had black on the left and white on the right while the other had white on the left and black on the right.

Pretty deep episode...
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Yes, but Pentox and Olivierco started out the same. It was only for our benefit that Pentox changed his avatar. They are twins, joining hands across one vast continent and one wide ocean, not enemies.

Actually you have that backwards, I retained the original avatar, Oliverco changed.

Oh and it's not that we're twins, we are part of the Japanese green tea collective. We are borg, we will assimilate you.

But there are the Oolongonians from a distant quadrant...intergalactic TeaWar is imminent. Their propaganda is currently making its way in the form of a tea box pass across the country.

Maybe Pentox and Olivierco are like the two William T. Rikers from TNG.
