You are an instigator, my friend. You can ask anyone in the group, I was very well behaved. No air guitar singing and dancing with a tea cozy on my head.
We met at New Age People, which is a very interesting place. They serve tea, coffee, kashi bars, doritos, Recees cups, dried corn, etc . . . you just eat/drink whatever you want and tell them 2 hours later when you check out (if you remember). It's really cool: the only store you can buy all these items together in one stop: rosary, menorah, copy of
The Secret on CD, reflexology socks, crystals to rub, aromatherapy, rose colored glasses, subliminal message CDs, polished rocks, statue of Buddha, money attractant roll-on. I could spend days in there.
We had an awesome time telling animal stories, video games, kids, everything. Scarlet Glow, Mr. Scarlet Glow, Mary R, Me, Smells_Familiar & Smellls_Familiar v1.0. Of which I am the old lady of the group. We are all happy about our new tea shop that is just North of our downtown and plan another meeting there soon.
But don't just take my word for it, ask someone else in the group.

I may have left out a few embarassing details. Next time we'll take a group picture for posterity so you can see what a party-hardy kinda bunch we really are!
Yeah, I second what she said. Mr. Scarlet Glow would be my boyfriend, Kevin. He is not on TeaChat, but does take an interest in my tea hobby (that and Indy scares the crap out of me... I didn't want to drive there alone).
The Smells_Familiar duo were the CUTEST father and son pair I have seen yet... v1.0 (as augie says) is a spitting image of his daddy dearest, and I'm sure within about 5-10 years we will have another TeaChatter roaming the boards.
I loved New Age People. I ended up buying a mini zen garden and a laughing buddha necklace (which is currently around my neck). As far as the meet, I had an awesome time... even though I am incredibly shy around... well... anyone. Haha. Kevin said he had a great time, also.
I had my camera on me (err, well it was in Kevin's pocket) and I almost asked to take a group picture... but I couldn't get up the nerve to say anything. Some people freak out at the slightest mention of taking a picture, so I wasn't sure what the result would be if I asked for a group photo.
Anyways, we talked about tea at some point... but we just mainly chatted about any topic that came up. It was definitely nice to have tea with a group who enjoys it and are willing and able talk about it (instead of getting the weird looks like I get at home).
I'd say, if you have a chance to meet someone who loves tea just as much as you do, then go for it!
