Matcha is the answer.

I chose 3 No, I do not crave them.

I didn't like any of the puerh's I tried. Not a single one. But I am convinced that a beautiful and most lovable pu is out there somewhere. I am looking forward to meeting it some day. In fact, I have high hopes for the Pu Box.

Cold-brewed Yutaka Midori is in my bottle. Gorgeous!

So much for the so-called health benefits of tea!

Matcha is the answer.
Agreed. With matcha you get a good kick of caffeine for a number of reasons. The biggest of which is because you are ingesting the whole leaf. It doesn't matter if the caffeine was extracted or not, it's still getting into you. Also the shading matcha receives increases the caffeine content. (also not lethal unless you start eating HUGE amounts of the stuff.)

Yum!

Is it just me or as a whole are we drinking a LOT of YM recently?

Yum, YM is the new super varietal! My vote is to cut and burn all the Yabukita plants in Japan and replace them with Yutaka Midori plants. I kind of get the idea though that they are cold sensitive, being grown only in the very southern tip of Japan, Kagoshima. :(

Tencha currently, thanx again, Pentox. 3 grams per 2 ounces of water. Much better longevity with the added leaf. 3 steeps so far. :D
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I've only had some loose pu erh once (and hated it), so I really can't say how I feel about it in general. Can't crave what you've never had, right?

Lots of Qi Zhong today.

I like puerh shu and sheng, but can't say crave them.
Checking out this teaday article everyday is solely to see Salsero's picture of the day.
Viewing the photo brings you to totally relaxed state to brew tea, at least for me.

 Gee, Orguz, you would even make a sailor blush!

Exciting news I noticed on the fly in the IM that Silver Needles may attend a NYC tea gathering one of these Saturdays at Michael's Tea Gallery. If you do, S-N, please make full report. That is the East Coast pinnacle of TeaDoom for me ... with the LA Tea Affair being the West Coast nec plus ultra .

I'd be pretty careful about that, with the recent recalls on baby bottles. First, the kind of water bottle pictured isn't designed to be refilled. A couple of times are probably ok, but long-term use is probably not a good idea (bacteria, etc). Second, if the water is too hot, it could result in the reaction that got all those baby bottles pulled from store shelves (and baby bottles are designed for multiple uses). Hot water will leech chemicals into the water that can have all kinds of nasty side-effects!

Maybe I'm just misreading the article and/or being paranoid, but ... be careful! :)

wosret- I'm totally with ya on that one. If you MUST have a bottle, use a mason jar. Then when people ask you "what the heck is in that mason jar", you can affectionately call it your "spud juice" ;)
