It's 62 here right now is that close enough for you? Sounds like you really want to live in CA.auggy wrote: That's our high today.Did I mention I don't like winter? I'm miserable if it is below 65. At least I am no longer in Iowa, so that's a bonus.
Maybe because you are not brewing it hot enough and the leaves are notSmari wrote:Having my final cup for today - 2nd steep of Alishan.
Tastes better after the 1st steep, why is that?

My eventful day started with birthing a baby around 3am... came home and slept for a bit, and then went back to work. At work, I was thinking quite a bit about my missing cat, Obama, who has been MIA for nearly 2 weeks. I had only assumed he was house-hunting in D.C.
I finally decided today, after looking for him for nearly 2 weeks, that he probably wasn't coming back. He's an inside/outside cat, and he's disappeared for a day or two, but never longer than that.
On impulse, I went to our local pet/livestock food store, where they often have strays and kittens needing adoption. I came home with 2 little girls... sisters... one snow white with yellow eyes, and one brindle chocolate brown and caramel with amber eyes... about 12 weeks old. They are adorable!

OK, so now we're getting to the eventful part. Welcoming 2 new kittens into the house is always an experience... luckily, my dog is very cat-friendly and hasn't given any aggression toward them. So, they're exploring, doing great... and the next thing I know, I hear this LOUD meowing... too loud to be one of the babies, and it's coming from outside. Yes, Obama was at the front door, begging to come in. I let him in and he went straight to the food as usual... and then he noticed the little ones. I could tell right away, this was NOT going to be a good thing... he took on a very aggressive stance, ears back, and began to sort of stalk the littlest one, making a low growly noise. I threw him out the back door and put food outside for him.
And now I don't know what to do... to take the girls back to the feed store tomorrow... to try to acclimate Obama to the babies... to keep them separated... I don't know what's the best choice. I feel guilty evicting him in favor of new kitties, but I don't want him to hurt them.
And then, I tripped over the kittens and chipped my front tooth... just a little chip, and I'm ok and not in pain, but looks like I have to make a trip to the dentist tomorrow. Plus, now I cant stop feeling the jagged edge with my tongue.
In my cup... Darjeeling Vidyaranya...the newest darjeeling offering from Teavana. It's VERY delicious. I was a big fan of their puttabong earlier this year, and this one is just as good.

Hinting would be better than letting them guess...
I have 4 small teapots/cup sets which were gifts from well-meaning co-workers and relatives. None of which would I have bought, but two turned out well and I use them.
I can't regift the other pot/cup sets as no one would want them. No one would buy the tea I like without lots of help.
It sounds like I had better hint like some others below, who will get the stuff they want.
In my cup today - Blue Spring Oolong

T4Tx... after you've been here long enough to trade according to the forum guidelines, you should post your unused teapots in the TeaTrade section here... they might be exactly what someone else is searching for, and you might get a different pot or cups or tea samples in exchange. No need for lonely teapots to go unloved and unused.

In the evening for me these days it has to be relaxing herbal. I do experiments for relaxing and sleeping well. Tonight a combination of oatstraw, chamomile, lavender, passionflower, hawthorne berries, and a teabag with a blend including catnip and other herbs. I can feel even the muscles in my face relax. Sometimes though, these herbs relax my body completely but keep the brain alert, which is good but not necessarily for sleeping.

Most certainly have! My aunts and extended family always e-mail me and ask me what I could want for X-mas and they usually get me giftcards for small amounts, etc. So, they e-mailed me the other day so I sent them the direct link to the O-cha.com giftcard order form

Geez sarah! What an eventful day! Sorry to hear about the tooth...I chipped one a while back and know just what you mean...your tongue wont leave the spot alone! Anway, about the kittens....you should really decide if you are ready for the new pets or not.....3 years ago my girlfriend took in 2 cats (brother and sister) from one of her friends that was forced to give them up...."She said, honey....they will only be here for a week or two until we find someone to take them!"........Well, they just went to the vet for a checkup YESTERDAY......yup...never got rid of them haha. I mean, I wouldnt give them up now as they have become part of the family, but you get my point.
