Oh my, a whole class of teaware I don't have and didn't realize existed! The ones I have are definitely glazed inside just like outside.

I've been reading more about them today and can't remember where I read that they weren't glazed inside, I am very possibly wrong about that! I'll let you know when I have mine in-hand and can actually look into it.

I definitely anticipate a good TeaYear, but for me that depends a lot on how things go with the FF Darjeeling harvest.

It's really too late for me to be drinking tea, but I'm winding down with a cup of Twinings Prince of Wales, my favorite cheap tea.

I do not believe they are unglazed inside. But they are made of a certain clay, then glazed. They are very popular. Too bad omegapd isn't here, he is the champion of this cause.

Oh well, they are supposed to be good pots anyway ... I just like the shape of them!

Guess I have an excuse to get a Yixing now, since I want an unglazed pot too. :D

Sounds like a plan to me!

Currently drinking the last steeps of a different Dancong now - this one
from Jing Tea Shop.

For a girl who didn't particularly care for Dancongs, I sure have been
drinking a lot of them.
:)

It's a latin quote with a design around it. It was rough. Word to the wise, don't ever get tattooed on your ribs unless you have a superhuman tolerance to pain. I'm going to suffer through a shower then unwind with some sencha.

Ouch! I am sure that is an understatement!

Kabusecha from Yuuki-Cha, went with half the vendor recommended leaf and am feeling like a wimp because I like it better this way. 8) Still playing with the parameters though.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I suspect this year will be a better tea year than last cos I am now more skilled at brewing. I also have a better idea of who the good vendors are.

An organic sencha this morning and Irish Breakfast this evening (as I type in fact) brewed in a Brown Betty :) Brown Bettys are kind of like giant yixings. Same general shape although with a long spout.

Is it glazed or unglazed inside? It's been driving me crazy because I thought I read somewhere that they were only glazed on the outside. Do they make as excellent tea as they say?
