Futurama(this episode was on 2 nights ago) When Lela gets Kip(yes kip is a male) pregnant they have to go to his spawning pond on his home planet Amphibioses. During the birthing ritual Kip has to drink some special tea from a large urn. The funny part that no one else notices, except tea nerds is theres a little teabag hanging out the side of the urn

haha special ceremony tea from a teabag only futurama would add such funny details.
I remember that one! But it was Amy that got Kif pregnant.

While Amy was indeed Kif's
smizmar, and as such was formally considered the mother of the... ummm... offspring, the genetic material came from Leela, as evidenced by the analysis in the rotation chamber. So Amy made Kif receptive to being impregnated, but Leela actually impregnated him.

My Favourite Tea Advert (definitely not the tea itself) is a P.G. Tips advert of a French Bicycle Race

The 2 phrases "Avez vous un cuppa?" and "Can you ride tandem?" are the ones embedded in my mind.

Trey Winston wrote:I already answered above, but then I remembered that I do have a favorite scene. It is of course the whole tea situation in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy saga, when Arthur Dent ties up the Heart of Gold's computer to have it make him tea.
Haha, that's my favorite book "teascene". Another one would also be Alice in Wonderland of course. I loved that scene in the Disney movie as a kid.
No tea right now, but I did get a sample of houjicha from Rishi when they sent me a replacement mug. The infuser in my old one cracked. They have great CS. So anyway, I might try that stuff out soon.
And Happy Birthday Victoria! Have a great one!

We've been on an "old movie" kick lately...recently watched the Hepburn-Tracy movie "Adam's Rib"...they are two busy lawyers who wind up arguing opposites sides of a case...there is a cute kitchen scene where they're throwing together dinner and she makes tea. I remember as we watched it that it was such a "homey domestic" scene.
I love reading novels with a British setting, because of "tea time"...can't remember any specific scenes tho.
Happy Birthday to the birthday kids!
I've planned and replanned what to get myself for my birthday next month...gotta strike a balance between tea and tea ware...shopping is such fun!
Have some laughter with your tea this weekend,
Dreamer

Late submission:
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
The scene in the village "diner" with Zhang Ziyi disguised as a boy and stirring up unrest - especially the bit where she sits at the table, effortlessly defending herself against blows with one hand while holding her teabowl in the other

Fukamushi from Yuuki-Cha and Hankook "mystery oolong" finished out the TeaDay. Now, soggy leaf tea from at least 3 different teas ...
Happy belated Birthday, Drax!

Heh. You have no idea how hard I looked for a decent clip of that scene! Couldn't find anything of decent length, BUT - if you watch
this trailer, you'll see about 5 seconds' worth of the scene I'm talking about at 1:06 minutes in.
Yeah! That's what you get for trying to mess with me and my cuppa!

(Dreadfully misleading poster, by the way. Makes the movie look like a sitcom, which it certainly is NOT. It's predominantly melancholy, with occasional wry moments.)
I read this book- didn't ring any teascene bells but the poster- I can so see that happening. I enjoyed the book and now will add this scene to my appreciation of it.
