I said "rarely" for several reasons. First of all, I tend to mostly choose teas that are not too easy to screw up... and then my palate is not too sensitive to minor variations, so it takes a significant screw-up for me to consider a tea ruined... add to that the fact that I have gotten much more careful about my brewing over these last months, and that I tend to be a conservative brewer regarding time and temperature... which means I rarely walk away from my tea while it is brewing. I generally go heavy on leaf, lighter on temp and time... no matter what kind of leaf I'm using... so there's no time to walk away and get distracted.
I've had a good tea day... matcha early this morning... then Keemun Rhapsody because I woke up craving black tea, and it was delish... jasmine #5 at work, iced, because my office nurse is preggers and craves it constantly, so I make us a pitcher nearly every day.. came home and had an Adagio order of one of my signature blends (Twilight - Alice's Vision), so I had some hot and then some iced... very interesting for a flavored tea (coconut, alittle Valentines, a tiny bit of cinnamon), so that was fun and yummy.
And then I got a call at 10pm, just as I was ready to go to bed... lady in labor, HURRY HURRY!!!!

I arrived at 10:10pm (luckily I live very close), and the baby came at 10:16 pm... boy, 5lb 14 oz. I was home by 11:30pm... the paperwork took longer than the labor.
Happy Tea Day to everyone, and I hope everyone had as much great tea as I did today.
