Do you recommand boiling a newly bought teapot? Or there are better ways to get a new pot ready? thanks
Meaning hand-made but with the use of a mold / form to help shape the pot.TokyoB wrote: Sorry but could you explain what half hand made means?

Argh..how didn't I come to Teachat eariler..
In hopes of greeting and seeing her more around

DuoQiu means 3 balls are speared in a row.
Often 3 kinds are mentioned,
First is Daoguang period's Shao Da Heng's

Second is our great Cheng Shou Zhen's

Third is Yu Guo Liang's (can't find the picture)
I always wondered about the clay of ShouZhen DuoQiu (Yixing Zisha Gongyi Chang's). Acclaimed book 中国紫砂茗壶珍赏's Han Qi Lou mentioned, it's made of Tian Qing ni. But the look of it somewhat differs from ZhuGan (pig's liver) color of Tian Qing ni, rather alike of Qing Hui ni.
Is it Tiaosha or have you heard anything from your father?
