From which you can make one tiny infusion of tea per year (as you pinch it back), in a pot like this one

Haha! I'd love to find a pot like that.

Tai Ping Hou Kui this evening, the lovelier stuff from Jingteashop, sweet/spicy/peas/asparagus.
I think even if you softened one of these leaves with a preinfusion dunking, it would not wrap small enough for that little pot. But one tiny bonsai bud, sure! Now we just need to find a TeaChat artisan ready to make bonsai tea pots!

That'd be so cool. We could have a tiny set made and set it out under a bonsai tree awaiting visitors.

I'm drinking sencha Maruyama tonight that I picked up during Maiko's current sale. It's very pleasant, infused in Banko.

It's so... cute? Love it.
Also, I have a kettle that might be about the right size to heat up some water for it.

Yame konacha, fast and easy to prepare, exactly what i need now. Seems i found a substitute for instant coffee

At first i didn't really like strong and robust flavor, but after a while got used and kind of like it, refreshing.

Just finishing off the last of my 2010 Dragonwell from The Tea Gallery.
It's not only a great Dragonwell (a bit more floral than toasty) but I'm also getting in some valuable gaiwan practice. So far so good.
Next on the list today is to see what I can get out of a cheap "Sencha Shokai" with some gaiwan work. It's some sort of Chinese sencha knock-off I bought on a lark.

Ah, I had a small amount of this Hashiri from Den's, it was quite nice, the best "Hashiri" I had ever had.
Welcome to the world of sencha, expect many "must sit down" moments!!!
