this is a different chawan then the above matcha jawan

enjoy !

need to make more of these forms with a thicker base to carve.

koudai of this series are fully fuctional for otemae.

2 Cory Chawan arrived yesterday. And 2 Wan/Yunomi, equally beautiful and coordinating with each of the Chawan. Not sure which I likes moar, the Chawan-s or the cups. All 4 pieces have the very Kool cory lum signature carved koudai. Thank you, cory.

This one is full of drippies and is quite impressive in glaze, form and SIZE. Ya, Big sucka! Oh and the iron "whatever" that was added to the glaze is really purdy, showing butifully as red in the krackles that unfortunately is not showing in the photos. :D

Wow, that light celadon one is awesome!

Not sure about that looooong teapot though - it reminds me of a wiener dog. :lol:

Wow, I'm not fond of green inside my matcha bowls (to my eyes it tends to clash with the color of the matcha), but that "green ice" look is mesmerizing!

That disjointed donut teapot must have been fun to make!

they had some amazing choson (YI) dynasty, ido looking chawan on display . wow !

inspirational !

i wish i could touch them !

greetings all.

glad to be back in hawaii

japan was serendipity and 'ichi go ichi e' at its finest !

want to load up and fire soon. maybe saturday or friday

will post more developments. i got some interesting shino test pieces

met some interesting ceramic art gallery folk. stopped thru my favorite ceramic shop in shibuya, a shop called kuroda toen. amazing shows weekly and a vast collection of yunomi, guinomi and tokkuri in cool display cases.
