Den's miyabi this morning (more seaweedy than I remember

).
In a Michael Coffee beaut.
Here's the warming pic.
Cheers.
May we meet our irritation, frustration, and anger, especially big anger, with conscious breath (mine needs lots & lots of breath) instead of acting out.
...deep breath.

Funny you should post that matcha bubble pic Cory, I took a rather bad shot of my chawan, but the bubbles came out great.
Anyone for green eggs and ham???

Wow - great shot fnord!
That foam looks like velvet!
I can only aspire to such perfect foam!
Today Den's miyabi (which, btw, likes much hotter water, imo) in a Ronin Ceramurai chawan.
Cheers and happy matcha day to all us matcha folk.

Thanks Seeker.
To get a good foam i found out it's best to do some slow whisking at the end, that gets rid of most of the big bubbles.

But here it is anyway - I watched this bowl for a long time before I decided to buy. I was really drawn to the unique shape and texture. It is from Rikyu Japan and made by a local potter.

oooo - I like the way the inside of the chawan kind of glows in that one.
Nice. Really resonant.

Another attempt at matcha today, in the new pretty celadon cup, prettier foam, still think I'd rather have my daily sencha.
