Hello,
Here's today's Yunomi Group from yesterday's firing. All fired to ∆10 (2345F) in reduction. Glazing left to right...A glaze I know as Ken's Blue, that up until know, fired to a nice mossy green with crystals, then iron slip over-glazed with shino, then nuka over iron slip with copper and wood ash. This was a good and interesting firing with lots of experimentation...Thanks for looking,

It's been quite some time since I've posted here, so I thought I would take this opportunity to upload a few images of work from last weeks firing.

I really like the shape of the yellow one in the middle and the glaze too, yellow teaware seems to be rare for some reason. Any plans for making more with the same shape?

This Matcha Chawan Tea Bowl is glazed inside with White Shino and the exterior is glazed with a new glaze I call "I Got Interrupted Shino." This new glaze came about when I was interrupted while I was formulating and mixing a new recipe and added, at least one wrong ingredient, maybe more. The net result was a glaze that looks and feels like natural stone, with a slight dry texture. I also think this glaze has an "antique" or "aged" look and feel. I like this result much more than the intended one. The only question for me is, will I be able to recreate this glaze when this batch is gone(?)

Dimensions: 3-1/4"h. x 4-7/8"dia. @ widest point.
Weight: 15 ounces

Here's today's Nuka and Slip Glazed Matcha Chawan from my most recent firing. I used to use this glaze combination many years ago and just recently started using it again and I'm quite pleased with the results, particularly the blueish areas where the nuka is over the slip. This result is new for this glaze combination, this time around.
