It is, isn't it? It's an old offering from MagokoroDo, that I saved in my favorites. I can't remember how much he sold this for, but other Kazuwa pieces have gone for $350-1200.

*gulp*

Won't be adding that to the collection anytime soon.

Oooh...love that red chawan. Magokorodo's got a ruby-red gem up for auction now that I've considered vying for. I think the red with the bright green matcha would be incredible. 'Course, I should probably see what it looks like first. It might combine to make a wholly unappetizing brown.

Pentox: yep and nope. Steelglaze, but it is small - it's actually a sakazuki. But I posted it because it's beautiful and also wishing it was a chawan. MagokoroDo. :lol:

MaryR: I saw that too, and was thinking of bidding but probably won't because I'm cheap... and way over budget on toys for the year.

Heh heh...yeah, every time I think of bidding on it, I have this internal "Mother" voice that starts in with a lecture on how I have a perfectly good chawan that I never ever use...

Well, it's here. I'll post some pics of it later, but right now I'm at work so I can't. Mine has less bubbles than the one that was pictured. I'm quite happy with how it looks though. One thing I found interesting about it was the bubbles at the top of the bowl are stretched where the ones closer to the base are quite round. They also provide an interesting texture on the inside of the bowl. All in all i'm rather happy with it. (although I haven't put any matcha in it yet)
