My pu from Kunming arrived way earlier than expected. Only 11 days to Europe. But 4 out of 8 cakes' wrapping paper are almost completely torn apart
Is it normal? What will you do in this case? tea crumbs and dust are slowly but continuously falling off the cakes if I let them stay outside, so I put them first in a plastic container, but it still does as you can see on the pics.

About half of my Menghai bings always show up torn and open at the edges to some degree.

I just received a large volume of tea from Dragon Tea Shop. He packages each cake in bubble wrap and then as added protection the cakes came in individual metallic/plastic envelopes. The Menghai bings were pristine:

Hmm, I don't believe I've had 2008 or 2009 cakes show up that way (well, other than the ones that customs ripped into). Older cakes often get worn on the sides like that, but those are 2008...
Oh well, to me it's unusual.
Still good stuff. And taco, great stuff, too!

HI Drax, pb2q and tacobell. Thanks for your feedbacks.
Tacobell, thanks for letting me know about the packaging of DTH.
Drax, in my tong, the outer tong wrapping paper was already initially torn and through that torn window I can see the cakes' wrapping paper are torn as well and teadust was all over the packaging.
pb2q, so.. at least it happened also to you and maybe other people.
Anyway I will put extra wrap to the cake.
