Beautiful, I like this shot, I believe it shows all the color variations nicely. Is that sshade really pinky/mauvey or more lavendar?
How do you like the size?
We opened ours together when I got home from work last eve, yeah ... I was a meanie and made Chip wait!

Thanks! The color is more pinky/mauve on this side, really close to actual on my monitor. There is a more lavender/lilac towards the bottom and left side there which continues around a bit. It also has two very large areas of pure white, that I love. I love the size, it is perfect!

Thanks for sharing your San Sai, Victoria and Woozl. San Sai #19 had its maiden voyage today with Fukamushi ...
I was amazed how much the crackling inside the Wan is showing after 5 steeps (one session) ... this one will exhibit the seven stages of Hagi quicker than most, I suspect.

Here is # 16, This piece is alive.
Funny, it was my second choice.
No good pics of #1 yet....
And some gnarly detail. This is where the "leaks" may occur.
I wanted some snapz first, now we go for a soak, and perhaps later, a "kudai" massage.

"hagi-joner?"
BTW, here's mine - not very artistic, but it does show the color well.

HA, so you were the solo bidder on that kyusu. That was a real steal. Gorgeous. Had my finger on the button, but ...

. Enjoy.
Great photos, Woozl and Geek depicting the beauty of the Sansai ... has anyone noticed a quick display of crackling on the inside of their San Sai?
Oh, also thanks Woozl for sharing your Shiro photos! She is not only alive, she is a beaute!

Yep, I borrowed a cube from the office down the hall. I'm working on cataloging my stuff, because I tend to forget things like who made what, and which box it uses.
The cube makes it super easy. I just set my camera on a low tripod, pop the object in the box, snap, and move on to the next one.
