Here's Today's Satin Celadon with Ash and Copper glazed Yunomi. It was fired to ∆10 (2345F) in my small gas kiln. It measures 3" h. x 2-7/8" w. and holds 6.25 oz. / 185ml.

Here's (another) Today's Nuka and Tenmoku glazed Yunomi, it measure 3-3/8" h. x 3-1/4" w. with a volume of 8.5 ounces / 250ml. It was fired to ∆10 (2345F) in reduction in my small kiln.

Thanks Chip, It's some times hard to keep them all moving in the same/right direction.

Here's Today's Shino and Alberta slip glazed Yunomi Tea Cup fired to ∆10 (2345F) in reduction. It measures 3-1/8" h. x 3" w. and holds 7 oz. / 206ml. This piece has a nice metallic glaze effect that is really hard to photograph, and capture the iridescence. Thanks...

Here's another one for today...Nuka and Alberta Slip with Wood Ash and Copper glazed Yunomi. It was fired in reduction in my small gas fired updraft kiln to 2345F. It measures 3" h. x 2-7/8" w. and holds 6 oz. / 178ml.

Here's Today's Shino, Wood Ash and Rutile glazed Yunomi from last weeks firing. It measures 3" h. x 2-7/8" w. and holds 6 oz. / 178ml.

It's really snowing here in southwest Colorado at nearly 8,000 feet and the temps are low...a great time of year to turn inward and think about making more work.

I was looking through your sold items, and I didn't see any, so I was wondering, have you ever tried making brewing vessels (aside from chawan, of course)? Not that you need to make any, this is simply curiosity.

Thank you for your kind words regarding my work, they are truly appreciated. I'm glad to hear you continue to enjoy your pieces.

I don't currently make brewing vessels, but I'm being encourage by several members on TC to begin making them. I've been studying the various types and forms and following the discussions here on TC, as well, regarding various options of what people like. I love a challenge and I would look forward to this one.

Thanks debunix, helpful info. The funny thing is, I generally make lots of smaller cups as they sell well here in the gallery, but I made none in my last throwing session(?)

This Yunomi Tea Cup is glazed inside with White Shino and the exterior is glazed with a new glaze I call "I Got Interrupted Shino." This new glaze came about when I was interrupted while I was formulating and mixing a new recipe and added, at least one wrong ingredient, maybe more. The net result was a glaze that looks and feels like natural stone, with a slight dry texture. I also think this glaze has an "antique" or "aged" look and feel. I like this result much more than the intended one. The only question for me is, will I be able to recreate this glaze when this batch is gone(?) This piece has been slightly "squared" with 4 subtle indentations, very comfortable in the hand.

Dimensions: 2-7/8" h. x 3-1/8"dia. @ widest point.
Volume: 7 ounces/ 205 ml
