I'd also like to nominate Thes Du Japon. I've been getting green tea from them almost exclusively this year and they are great. They have a wide range of top quality green tea, and seem to specialize in mountain teas that are hard to find elsewhere.I would like to nominate Thes du Japon. Thanks!

I'm not a qualifying member, but I'd like someone to nominate Wegmans. They have many Japanese Green teas that are of comparable quality to adagio teas. Their Japanese greens include
Uni Kabuse
Gyokuro
Tomo sencha
Matcha sencha
Sakura sencha
Lavender sencha
Yuzu secha
Genmaimatcha
Kukicha
Houjicha

I read somewhere... on these forums probably... that wegman's get's all their green tea from Ito En. This is second hand info coming from me, so take it with a grain of salt
Edit: found the wegman's post over here...

And while I'm here I'm gonna put in a second nomination for Thes Du Japon. They have become my favorite vendor for sencha. Their teas are simply awesome! Come on people where's the fellow thes-du-japon love?? let's get them their own official thread!

The 3 sencha's from Thés Du Japon that I've tasted so far were fantastic. Tomorrow I'll pick up at the post office my latest purchase from TDJ: about one kilogram (!) of many different sencha as well as a bit of houjicha and kukicha. It's a Christmas gift to myself
I'd be very happy with a dedicated TDJ thread.

Re: NEW! Official JAPANESE GREEN Tea Vendor Guide
Reading through this thread make me crave japanese greens very badly!

Re: NEW! Official JAPANESE GREEN Tea Vendor Guide
Except for 2 purchases last year (1 from Den's and 1 from Hiruma), I basically only buy from TDJ now! They are the best, ok one of the top 2 or 3. But best in my book.

They are on my list of 3 "new" tea companies for me to try this year.shinobicha wrote:Except for 2 purchases last year (1 from Den's and 1 from Hiruma), I basically only buy from TDJ now! They are the best, ok one of the top 2 or 3. But best in my book.

Do it - Florent always picks good teas, at all price levels.
Re: NEW! Official JAPANESE GREEN Tea Vendor Guide
OK, I'm back for my yearly nomination for Thes Du Japon. I REALLY would have thought they would have gotten their own thread here by now, this is the third year in a row I've posted here, and I see many others with nominations in for this place. They've been my number 1 for Japanese tea for near on two years now... they are consistently good... and occasionally I'll get one of their higher-end teas and am always floored by how amazing they are.
Soooo.... whazzap!?

Humble apologies. There are other vendors nominated as well. I must move this up my priority list!
As I have mentioned on the forum, a lot going on.

Perhaps you and /or Adagio need to bring on another one or two mods to help with the workload.Chip wrote:Humble apologies. There are other vendors nominated as well. I must move this up my priority list!
