*UPDATE*
Just got my pot and have been using it sorta like a kettle. I put boiling water in it, then transfer the water to my gaiwan and I'm definitely impressed. My tea is sweeter and thicker. Thanks everyone that shared their opinion. This pot is worth the money. I'm thinking about getting a bigger pot just for water.

Maybe it should be locked lol I love the pot so much that I ended up purchasing a Shigaraki Guinomi on ebay to match. These photos are from the seller, hopefully it looks this good when I get it.

Wow... looks very very rough and nice. Artistic.
Previously I did come across such Shigaraki cups, and asked Hojo. He said those clays are very different from his Shigaraki kyusu. Shigaraki is a very big location and it does not mean every clay is same from that area.
Once you get it, please give it a try and see whether it changes the water quality. I'm curious with the outcome. If good, may order the same cups like yours

SO after a few weeks of daily use with my pot, using Long Jing. The pot has taken on a very sweet smell. It still smells like dragonwell but it smell very good and very sweet. Anyone else notice the way their seasoned pot has taken on a unique smell? I am wondering if it is because of the green tea or if it does it with all type of tea. This alone makes it worth the price, besides the fact I have only made 1 bad batch of tea sine I got it and that was because I left the tea in much too long. Even a little over the usual time and it doesn't effect the taste.. but an hour over the time and nothing is saving that tea.

Mine smells like a super sweet green tea candy or nectar! I love it
Remember to clean the pot with boiling water for 2 min, then rinse and air dry. I wasn't doing this and mine starting oozing sap like stuff
