I hope there wasn't much of a line at the post office.
So many pictures of so many beautiful, yet thirsty, cups. Does nobody quench the thirst of their dry, dry, hagi...?

Good question! This is the third, fourth and fifth infusion of a Shan Ling Xi sample from TeafromTaiwan. This cup has a BIG thirst!

Here is my Sendai. I cannot believe how quickly the crackles have stained. I have only drunk sencha in it.

Interesting IPT, having used this Sendai almost nonstop since it arrived, I have not seen any crackling ... yet.
I am curious, do you preheat your Sendai with hot water?

Be careful not to trip over the cat.
I do not soak it in hot water. I do heat it before use, by pouring boiling water in it and then waiting until the water cools down to the proper temperature, then pour it into my kyusu for brewing the tea. I have only used it twice, for two pots worth of brewings..

Sendai are popping up all over the place! They look marvelous, and I'm so glad to see that a couple getting their thirst quenched... and my, it seems IPT's has crackled nearly as quickly as the Tempest...? Awesome!

It arrived today along with my shincha order !
I am very pleased with its size. I have a few guinomi that I don't use that often because I find them too small for tea. Here, we've got the same form and a bigger size which is great.

They are all beauties, thanks everyone for sharing photos of your Sendai!
Having used the Sendai for 5 days straight, all sencha, not a single sign of crackling. It is amazing that IPT's showed so much crackling in the first use. What is everyone else discovering?
