A lot of them, like LBZ or wild "wild" tea such as XZH Dinjin Nuer, are pretty mild tasting, but can give pretty serious stomachaches and headaches with strong infusions. Others, like this XZH Youle I have, or the various Pashas and Bulangs I have, are so intense at the dosage I use that I just cannot imagine enjoying higher dosages even if the marginal addition results in diminishing increments of intensity.
Okay, I am a little worried about you now. If tea gives you stomach and head aches, I might recommend finding a new passion...or a new supplier, but you seem to have tried the ones I might recommend. I have had a tummy rumble from some cheapo shizuoka sencha, but that was cured with a bit of food.
I think he is talking about the concentration/dosage, not discomfort caused by tea in general.

I thought 10+ grams in 120- ml would be too strong for most tea drinkers. But I didn't do a survey on it so can't be exactly sure of it.

It seems every time people talk about whether a dose is too much, suggestion of a even higher dose comes up. It keeps me wondering what the next record is

Can anyone be injured by tea? There is a joke (half joke) that every spring many tea merchants go to Yunnan. A percentage of them walked in on their feet and were carried out by ambulances.

I haven't tried HLH QLY, so I don't know about this particular tea, but some people do find that if the material of the cake has plantation leaves in it, they would have uncomfortable sensation in the throat after drink those teas and this is nothing to do with how strong the tea been brewed or how much leaves were used. I'm one of those 'unfortunate' people. As I haven't tried HLH QLY, so I cannot say this is definitely the reason shah82 have problem with it.

Only a blind test can answer the question. It's possible that people determine a tea is plantation tea after they have bad feelings about it.

May be someone should send me some free samples, including HLH QLY and label them as A, B, C & D and let me do some blind testing ...

New Douji cakes on YS. I'm particularly interested in this one: 2006 DOUJI "YI WU WILD ARBOR KING" http://www.yunnansourcing.com/store/pro ... oduct=1801. Anyone has experience about it?

Scott has replenished the stock a few times so far (I stopped keeping track... ). I wonder if he'll do it again...? Seems to be pretty popular, that's for sure, haha...

Scott would be crazy not to replenish that stock as often as possible... it seems almost akin to printing money...
