Yes, It was fired at so high temp. and so It has many dots of Iron which broken away from surface of pot.Tead Off wrote:Nice collection!

Are all these pots yixing pots? Some look like Chaozhou pots instead.

Looks like there are some wheel marks on a few(like pot 6).
Did they make chaozhou pots in the ming/qing dynasty?

Chaozhou pots have a long history. Not sure about the Ming but certainly in the Qing they were around.

I have a ~45ml chaozhou pot from ~daoguang period to share for those interested. The lid is not original. I also have one about 75ml from the republic period I will show off in a following post. Cheers.

Now, regarding the remade lid, the daoguang cz pot should have a similar shaped lid (pear shape) as the republic pot. I do not know when it was remade or what happened to the original. Enjoy!
