Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
Thank you for being willing to do so much work with packing and shipping! I know it's a lot, and this Westerner is very grateful for the ability to try a tea I generally wouldn't have access to.

Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
Is the "one tael of superior grade" still available? If yes, I'll like to take it. Or am I too late?jayinhk wrote:150g of Three Stamp left, and one tael of superior grade. That certainly went quick! Thanks everyone! Packing up all this tea is certainly going to be fun!
Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
Thanks for the appreciation--it's monotonous packaging up tea, but kinda fun to work with much larger quantities than I'd buy for myself! The other day I saw about a bing's worth of Menghai shu swept up and thrown in the trash; dust from breaking up multiple tongs for sale as loose shu. They were amused by my surprise.
Bet I see a lot of that kind of thing in Kunming next month!
Wei301 your tea is already on its way to you. I do still have the last tael of superior grade if you want it!

Great! Thanks. What is total incl. shipping to the UK?jayinhk wrote:

Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
Wei, $26.30 with shipping. I'd suggest taking some TGY or Dancong with it since shipping is only $2 more for every additional 50g!
Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
I don't drink TGY. What type of Dancong are you offering? Where can I find the details?jayinhk wrote:Wei, $26.30 with shipping. I'd suggest taking some TGY or Dancong with it since shipping is only $2 more for every additional 50g!

If you want more of the superior shuixian, you could wait until I get more; I expect it to be very popular!

I'm not so interested in the Dancong without trying some sample first ...
I found most of them too light and floral ...
You described the Three Stamp Shuixian : "good quality milk chocolate".
How would you describe this "superior shuixian" ?

Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
It's very similar to the Three Stamp, but more refined and smoother; less chocolate, but cleaner tasting. I wish I could describe it better than that!wei301 wrote:Thanks for the link.jayinhk wrote:Here's the dancong:

Hi Jay, received the Three Stamp today and tried. It indeed has a bit "Milk Chocolate" smell and taste! Thank you!jayinhk wrote:It's very similar to the Three Stamp, but more refined and smoother; less chocolate, but cleaner tasting. 37.8g is really tiny for the hassle and postage, so please cancel the superior shuixian for the moment. I'll wait until you get more!
Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
Glad you received your Three Stamp safely! 37.8g is a classic HK measurement (16 taels to a 600g catty (jin)). The tea is prepacked into sealed pouches in this quantity, so it's easier to sell it preportioned than to repack it into larger bags. I agree that it's a lot of hassle and a high postage rate for such a small amount. I'll pick up more soon!wei301 wrote:Hi Jay, received the Three Stamp today and tried. Yes, I still have 150g on hand. I take it you're enjoying it! It should perform even better after it rests for a week or two.wei301 wrote:Hi Jay, would you be able to get more of the Three Stamp?jayinhk wrote:

Re: Hong Kong-Roasted Three Stamp Shuixian
Sold my last 150g and last tael of superior grade, meaning I am now all out of shuixian, aside from the Three Stamp I have in my pewter caddy!
Picking up more of both SXs this week.
