Because of today's poll & having plenty of Hatsumi, decided to try cold brewing. Despite some very good instructions shared by RS, the cold brewed Hatsumi didn't thrill me as much as it has everyone else. Guess I'm not enough of a green tea drinker to appreciate it. Made a small pitcher of iced Hatsumi (traditional brew & poured over ice) for dinner tonight. I liked it better than the cold brewed tea. But the color kept messing w/my brain...had to remind myself it was green tea & not lime kool-aid.
Off to play in the oolong box again!

I know exactly what you mean, it was a photo of Salsero's that pushed me over the edge. Then when I got my first cup it was so clear what "it" was about Hagi.

The swirl at the bottom of the teacup.
The tiny grains of tea
juuust visible at the bottom.
The texture of the cup's lip.
The sensuous droplets on the tea table.

I
knew there was a reason I liked you!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It turned out to be a pretty good day - aside from that whole work thing.

The cactus is out of this world, Rainy! And the pot seems to be levitating!
Great shot!
