I'll have to check and see if work will fly me down. I actually work in San Jose, but live up here in seattle. Haven't been to the mother ship for a while since most of my team is in India, but maybe I can make a case for end of jan.

So updated list:
Vicoria (+1)
Vulture (possibly +1 to 3)
Rakuras
Bears (possibly +1 or 2)
wyardley
andy825 (possibly +1 for half-day)
Pentox
So guessing we will have around 8 to 12 people for the trip. Sounds like it will be fun

The following Monday is the lunar New Year. I forgot that it was so early this year. Since Sunday is New Years Eve, there might be some stuff going on in Chinatown and / or the SGV, though it looks like most of the major events (in both Monterey Park and Chinatown) are the following weekend. Restaurants and shops could potentially be extra busy (or, less likely on the 24th, closed).
Anyway, just an FYI. Someone might want to double-check that there's nothing that's likely to cause us traffic problems. I may end up having to flake on some or all of the day if I have other stuff to do related to New Years.

Hmm hopefully you can still make it. If anything that part of town is at the tail end of the places to go. I want to keep this a casual visit where we can change plans if needed on the trip. Thanks for the heads up on that though.wyardley wrote:The following Monday is the lunar New Year. I forgot that it was so early this year. Sounds great. I know Roy and Jason and I will be there to help out and make tea, so the more the merrier.
Won't be for the Spring Festival, but we may also be planning a 2 year anniversary thing for the LA tea group, so feel free to join our public announcement list if you're in the area and would like to get information about events (it's very low traffic, as so far, we haven't done any public events).
