I was indeed happy to buy them at a reasonable price (about 60$ shipping costs included)
The box comes with them.
As for the material copper alloy I guess.
The description from the seller:
This is a tea cup saucer of Japanese copper ware. This was made about 30 years ago.
This was made by famous copper brand "TAMAGAWA-DO" of Niigata Prefecture.
And the box has store's sign. This is an original exclusive box for this item. It is very important.
This is made very well. And this has a wonderful color and unevenness called TSUCHIME.

I feel like the ugly duckling who grows up to be a really ugly duckling among the jewels everyone here has! I collect figural teapots, particularly cat figural teapots. I don't have a camera yet, but maybe soon, then I can show some of my pots.
I usually go for the teapots which I haven't seen in bulk, but do have a couple of sets that have been done in bulk. One is a large cat groom and cat bride with a little boy cat ring bearer and little girl cat with flowers. That one is well known, but it reminds me of our wedding so very long ago.
My husband bought my favorite pot for me to encourage me to learn how to turn over, talk, stuff like that. I have not seen a duplicate of this pot. It is unmarked and is a male cat and female cat dancing together. The pot is a pale pink with very tiny blue flowers.
Another of my favorites is a gray tabby kitten holding to the side of a large pink ball of yarn. There is a tiny gray mouse napping on top of the ball of yarn. There are a number of those done, but none like the one I have.
I love the early Otagiri cat teapots. The later Whiskers series doesn't have the delicacy of the details that the early ones do. I have the male, holding his cup of tea, and the female, carrying a plate of cookies. The male is one of the last Whiskers done, but the female is one of the early ones. You can find the last ones, but I haven't seen a duplicate of my female. I don't have the other pieces to complete the set.
Being a bit frugal, I won't buy over my limit. The most I've paid is $30 for the wedding set. The least is $1.99. That is my latest acquisition, and it isn't unique but different as it is a white cat water kettle with a whistling mouse.
This is the picture from the auction. Not bad for the money.

I've got two Laurel Burch cat teapots. One is the angel cat and the other is the cat teapot with the bird on the cat's head.
The teapot that is center front in the teapot cabinet this month is a very large polar bear wrapped in a set of large Christmas tree lights. January's center teapot is a hand-crafted dragon teapot with cups which a friend gave me several years ago.
There are more, but the husband person wants some Internet time.

Wow, those are some gorgeous teawares!JT wrote:I got access to a camera a few days ago so I figured I'd post some of my stuff.

Can you share any information on this one? It looks amazingly like a small yunomi that I once picked up locally at a consignment shop. I never found out who made it or where it was from.

Glad people are enjoying the pics.
Alright here goes.
The Blue yunomi that chamekke asked about is a Mashiko Ware Cup that's about 6 oz. I don't know much about it other than that.
The small white houhin looking thing is a Toe Huh Ceramic Travel Tea Set from Hankook.
The ceramic Xi Shi pot is a Din-glazed 160cc from Hou De I found in the Celadon section. Currently not in stock anymore. It's actually my second one since the 1st one's lid had an accident....
I'm looking for other small ceramic "yixing like" pots but so far no luck. If anyone knows where to find any let me know.
Here is my most recent acquisition.

This looks strikingly similar to a cup we have (had?) at the store. If we still have a couple I can let you know.chamekke wrote:Wow, those are some gorgeous teawares!JT wrote:I got access to a camera a few days ago so I figured I'd post some of my stuff.

Hi everybody!
I've been lurking for some time now; time to jump in...
It's nice to find my people! I've been salivating over everyone's treasures...I need to take pictures of my tea-shrine area to share here, but in the meantime I wanted to share some of my creations. Since hubby-san has requested that I control myself and stop buying Japanese pottery, I started making it in miniature. Here, some of my mini faux-hagiyaki chawan, yunomi, and a vase, along with a mini faux-tokoname kyusu. One of my inspirations, a real hagi yunomi, is in the background to indicate scale. It is so much fun (albeit painstaking) to make these.
