Nice drippy!!! Congrats, they are beautiful!
Still no word on my ice split. I either get things insanely
fast, or they are held in customs for days and days.
Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
Wow! The recent Hagi SOs are soooo gorgeous -- ! I can't wait to pick mine up from the post office... I can't until Saturday... arrrgh! They're there all alone...

Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
Thanks for the compliments, my hagi are blushing.
Vic, I have offered a prayer to the postal gods that yours arrive VERY soon!
I'm sipping matcha out of my Sansai Teb as I write, and I LOVE IT!!!
Cheers.

Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
I'm getting to know my ice split today.
Here it is working some jasmine white peony from rishi.

and w/ different angle, location, & light (flash):

This, upon arrival, was my least fav of the triple SO's; but, I have to say, it's growing on me.

Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
Very nice seeker! I did get my ice split, and will try to post some pics soon.
In the meantime - not sure if everyone else is having this problem, but ever since the EMS Tracking added the "my page" feature toward the end of November to their website, the tracking is only in Japanese. You can click on English, but it reverts back to Japanese, at least for me.
So I found another link, and not only does it work, but it has many tracking links conveniently in one place. Bookmark it and keep it handy!

I have not had this problem at all... I've been using the link given to me in the emails he sends out the Japan post one, then click on tracking, then the button on the left under after EMS enter the number there, and its in English and everything.
Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
Yes, it used to work fine for me too. Now it no longer works. Maybe it is only me then. But I have tried it at work and home with no luck. I was just giving an alternate in case anyone else is having the same problem.
Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
I must admit, I haven't used the tracking yet - just sit back and wait, and try not to jitter too much with excited anticipation (usually fail).
Oh, and very much looking forward to seeing everyone else's stuff!
Wondering which ice split you got Vic, be nice to see when it shows up here.

Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
You know you can use USPS to track your EMS package, right?
Re: The unofficial, official HAGI topic!
On Saturday I finally was able to acquire my Hagi... and it was quite harrowing! The things I'll do for Hagi... my car handles like a trash can lid in the snow (needs new tires something fierce) and no one knows how to drive in the snow where I live, but I ventured out into blizzarding conditions anyhow to the post office. HAGI!

I believe that's only when the package crosses into the US and becomes the responsibility of USPSBuzz Fledderjohn wrote:You know you can use USPS to track your EMS package, right?

Thanks, yeah. I been doing this for awhile now.Buzz Fledderjohn wrote:You know you can use USPS to track your EMS package, right?

As I said, just trying to help out those who may have the
same problem as me tracking from the Japanese side to the
USA using the link Mago sends, which used to work.
It is fun to see how fast it can make it here to US Customs.
And then dismaying to see that it takes longer to get from
San Francisco to Southern CA.
Love it!! Nothing can keep a TCer from their Hagi!!! Congrats! I bet it was all worth it!twinofmunin wrote:On Saturday I finally was able to acquire my Hagi... and it was quite harrowing!
