Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Yang Yan Gou Qing (green hook) from teaspring. Really intense. Wet leafs smells of cookies, spring rain and there are some meaty aromas like salmon but not in a fishy way. The tea tastes like the leafs smells, holds for 4-5 brews. Best green tea I have tasted (though I have not tried that many).

Benn going back and forth between 2 shincha's: Maiko's Kinari and O-cha's Kirameki (Both Asa's) as well as 2 2010's I picked up from the O-cha sale: Warashina 9Another Asa) and YM LE (my only Fuka) also been hoarding my 4 different temomi's!
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
I just finished a session of Asa-Giri from O-Cha. It's such a pleasure to get to the point where I know just how to brew a particular tea for my maximum enjoyment. I'm smiling just thinking about it - while trying to decide which Chinese green to follow it up with.

Ippodo 2011 Uji Shincha Premium Grade. Taste like fresh flowers ~ T
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Just working my way through some cheap Long Jing. But it's not bad at all. The aroma is especially nice. The leaves are a wonderful olive green, flat, broad and long.
It feels good going down. In fact I haven't felt this good in a while. It's almost the perfect afternoon. Sunny and rainy, and I feel great. I've been battling a few infections for the past two months. I put a lot of antibiotics and other junk into my body (supplement overload) and I've cut all that out about two days ago. The tea tastes so much better when one's stomach is nice and settled. I've got a nice relaxed buzz going - from the tea, the weather, and my leisurely (but not lazy) pace with academic writing at the moment, which is incredibly stimulating in its own right.
Tea (even relatively inexpensive tea) just tastes better when you feel good.

Lovely tea ware. By the looks of it, it goes nicely with your tea table. You always have nice tea things to show. And you photograph them quite well.TIM wrote:

Just had a pot of Chinese green called spring rain. It's not bad.
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
I'm almost done with my bag of Shincha Aoi from Tsuen Teahouse via O-Cha.
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
I'm drinking bancha, to which I've added some roasted barley. Very refreshing.
Re: What GREEN are you currently drinking?
Breaking out of my oolong habit for the day and trying some Korean green tea - Spring 2011 from Hadong, Gyeongnam, Korea - SeJak Wild Bamboo Dew. On first steep it has a nice slightly grassy? flavor and scent with a hint of citrus (orange).

2010 Xi Hu Longjing:

Got it from a friend who visited Hangzhou last year. The leaves have more yellow tones than what my phone camera cold capture and they also have clear white lumps that resemble cobweb.
It will be always my favourite tea, green or otherwise. Delicious!
